Miss Universe visited Ubud - Bali

After visiting numbers of interesting places in Indonesia, Miss Universe 2008 "Dayana Mendoza" with a pleasure, spend her time between her super tight schedule to visit one of the most cultural tourist destination in Ubud.

Accompanied by Miss Indonesia "Zivanna Latisha" and Miss Bali "Ayu Diandasari" welcome by the owner and creature of The Royal Pita Maha, she spend around two
hours to enj
oy the stunning view of Ayung River from the Dewata Lounge of The Royal Pita Maha - Ubud - Bali.

Dayana Mendoza and all her team reveal their amazement to the resort architecture and its concept. This unforgotten experience make her forget the one hour visit, the conversation between her and the owner of The Royal Pita Maha was extended until two hours.

Leave from The Royal Pita Maha at 4pm, the group continued their second visit in this cultural village to one of the most fa
mous palace in Bali "Ubud Palace", welcome by the prince and all family members of Puri Saren Ubud, Dayana Mendoza was surprised with a seasonal and an incidental art of Bali "it was Barong Ngelawang"

Galungan Day is today

Galungan day is today, August 20th 2008

Galungan & Kuningan


In the Island of God "Bali" , a very special day and the most holy day, happen once in every 210 days " six months in Hindu Calendar", celebrated by all Balinese at the same time. Galungan is the symbolic of the glory when the good wins against the evil.

In this days, all family will gather together with all family members to celebrate this special ceremonial day.

Nowadays, Galungan has become one of the most interesting event that is listed by major tourism information board in Bali. Visitors can feel the most holistic atmosphere during Galungan.

It is start early in the morning, womens will use their traditional dress and carry on offering on their head to go to every temples on their village.

Ten days after Galungan is Kuningan day. This is the closing day of the Galungan celebration. Again on Kuningan, there will be a simmilar celebration likes Galungan, the difference will be only the time of the celebration. Kuningan day celebration will finish before midday.

The spirit of Indonesian Independence Day

On August 17th 2008, Republic of Indonesia will celebrate their 63th Independence Day. This day is a very special day for all Indonesian citizens, thousands of heroic activities will be done at the entire Indonesia archipelago with its typical and ethnic characteristic.

In the cheerful of the celebration, it is a must for all instances and school to celebrate this special moment. Student long march can be seen in all street all over Indonesia.

On the 17th of August, a great Independence day ceremony will be done at the Indonesian Independence Monument / Istana Merdeka, and will be followed by all governmental offices, non governmental offices and others.

It is one of the best time to visit Indonesia this month. All days on the month of August will be full of attractions.
